MUDDENAHALLI
Muddenahalli, the birthplace of Dr. Sir M. Vishweshvaraya,
Diwan of erstwhile princely Mysore State and architect
of modern industrial Karnataka is just 10 kms from the
farm. The house he was born in has now been turned into
a museum.
Dr. Sir M. VISHWESHVARAYA, the famous illustrious son
of India was both an engineer and a statesman. He was
known for his impeccable manners, disciplined behaviour
and meticulous work. His contribution to the national
development in the field of Economics, Industry, Irrigation,
Agriculture and Education are unparalleled. Sir M. Vishweshvaraya
who was born in this village on 15th September, 1861 was
honoured with “Bharath Ratna”, the highest
civilian title by the Government of India for his contributions
to the country. |
